Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor is the overconfident, accident-prone host of a local home improvement TV show called Tool Time. He is married to Jill, and they have three sons, Brad, Randy, and Mark. Tim is always looking for ways to give his tools "more power," often with disastrous (and hilarious) results.

TIM ALLEN: Timothy Allen Dick was born on June 13, 1953, in Denver, Colorado to Gerald and Martha Dick. When Tim was young his family, including his 8 siblings, moved to Birmingham, Michigan . In High School Tim's favorite subject was not surprisingly, Shop. He later went on to earn a degree in Television Production from the University of Western Michigan. Allen began his career in comedy on a dare from a friend at the Comedy Castle in Detroit. Later, he went on to do several cable specials, including, "Comedy's Dirty Dozen" and "Tim Allen: Men Are Pigs." In 1991, Tim became the star of his own hit television series on called "Home Improvement" . While continuing to film his television show throughout most of the '90s, he starred in a string of blockbuster movies including "The Santa Clause" Series and the "Toy Story" movies. In August of 1996, he developed and unveiled his own signature line of power tools, manufactured by Ryobi. On top of all that, Allen has his own racing team, Tim Allen/Saleen RRRRacing. In May of 1999, Home Improvement went off the air after 8 seasons and Tim continues to grace the big screen with his own unique brand of comedy.
